Patient Assistance Programs
Patient Assistance Programs are programs that are set up by drug companies to assist patients that may not be able to afford medicine get them at low or no cost. A great resource is listed to the right and is called needymeds. This site does all of the work for you. General Statistics
45 million Americans were uninsured in 2003, up from 43.6 million in 2002.
More than eight out of 10 people who are uninsured come from working families.
8.4 million children are uninsured.
More than one in five adults ages 18 to 64 was uninsured in 2003. 11.4 percent of children under 18 were without insurance.
More than 29 million of the uninsured in 2003 had household incomes of $25,000 or more, compared with 15.3 million in households earning less.

A GOOD DAY!!
I had a customer come in for a prescription today that he normally pays cash for. It was for Omeprazole (prescription Prilosec). He normally payed $83.99 for a 30 day supply (30 pills). I signed him up for a free drug card and was able to reduce his cost to $36.95!!! He saved $47. I guess I like to pay it forward....
